Local students have successfully completed High Voltage Persons Training as part of their work experience this week. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

The sixth formers from Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni and Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones, Amlwch were introduced to key safety principles, technical skills, and responsibilities involved in working with high voltage systems. Through the course, the students learnt about a range of topics, including identifying high voltage risks, implementing safe systems of work, carrying out isolation and testing procedures, using PPE correctly, handling specialist equipment, and responding to emergencies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mia Owen Hughes, a pupil at Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones Student said:<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter getting an insight into Morlais at a Seren programme careers event, I was inspired to come to here for my work experience. \u201cI have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Menter M\u00f4n Morlais and I am keen to understand more about jobs in this field.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Working with schools and colleges is part of Menter M\u00f4n Morlais\u2019 ongoing commitment to inspire students to consider careers in the renewable energy sector.<\/p>\n

One of the students recently completed the Inspire to Build programme, delivered by the Regional Skills Partnership in collaboration with Menter M\u00f4n, and has since chosen to undertake work experience with Morlais.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n<\/div>\n\n

The opportunities that the ‘Inspire to Build’ programme and the work experience at Morlais have offered me will be invaluable when I apply to university to study engineering and as I think about a career in the industry. I\u2019d like to say a big thank you to the team here at Menter M\u00f4n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The training was delivered by EDS HV Group, a company that provides expert high voltage engineering training to the renewable energy sector.<\/p>\n

‘Inspire to Build’ Success!<\/h3>\n

The North Wales Regional Skills Partnership<\/a> is thrilled to see yet another success story from the Inspire to Build programme<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Catherine Morris-Roberts, Senior Skills Delivery Officer at the North Wales RSP, reflected on the programme\u2019s success and the impact of Morlais\u2019 involvement:<\/p>\n
