Preparing for bids and funding applications can seem onerous and confusing, to help, we have just published a suite of documents to support organisations in developing stronger, more coherent projects and proposals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2025, Ambition North Wales will be launching a North Wales Clean Energy Fund. This will offer funding for capital projects relating to clean local energy solutions and wider decarbonisation projects in the voluntary and private sectors across North Wales. It will also complement capital funding that is currently available via the British Business Bank\u2019s Investment Fund for Wales and the Development Bank of Wales\u2019 Business Green Loan Scheme, among others.<\/p>\n

In readiness for this, a suite of documents has been developed to provide information on general project development and\u00a0how to write a\u00a0bid or grant application. The aim of these documents is to support organisations to develop stronger,\u00a0\u00a0more coherent projects\u00a0and proposals. The information presented is designed to provide general guidance and tips on how to develop robust and compelling project proposals and grant applications,\u00a0and can be applied to a range of different funding opportunities.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n<\/div>\n\n

Summaries of the 4 documents:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Project Outline & Feasibility<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u2013 this is your first stop to developing your project\u00a0idea. This document is about testing the feasibility of your project and developing an outline of what\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0hoping to do and how.<\/li>\n
  2. Developing a Funding Application<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u2013 once you have completed your feasibility and have your project outline you might be thinking about applying for funding to take the project to the next stage. This document focuses on what information you might want to include in a funding application and why. Remember to tailor any submissions to the\u00a0funder\u2019s\u00a0requirements though!<\/li>\n
  3. Glossary & FAQs<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u2013 sometimes the terminology can be quite technical,\u00a0so this glossary will help, as will the FAQs and top tips!<\/li>\n
  4. Support Catalogue<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u2013 sometimes it\u2019s good to get external support, so this catalogue gives a snapshot of some of the groups you can go to for that additional, bespoke help.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n
