Decarbonisation Hub

Developed in partnership with Adra, Grŵp Llandrillo Menai and Bangor University, the site is becoming a decarbonisation hub for North West Wales, supporting communities and businesses to retrofit homes over the next 10 years.

Busnes@LlandrilloMenai’s Centre for Infrastructure, Skills and Technology (CIST) and Hyfforddiant Net Sero Training Gwynedd deliver specialist construction and decarbonisation training from Tŷ Gwyrddfai, Penygroes, supporting individuals and businesses to build the skills needed to decarbonise homes.

Training areas include:

Renewables – solar PV installation and servicing, battery storage, air and ground source heat pumps
Retrofit – external wall insulation systems and retrofit best practice
Energy efficiency – domestic heating efficiency and building performance
Decarbonisation – low‑carbon technologies and whole‑house approaches
