Why does it exist?
Through market research and employer engagement, the North Wales Regional Skills Partnership identified a need to simplify access to local opportunities due to:
- 70% of employers facing skills challenges
- An increase in individuals not in education, training or employment.
- 47% of employers state ‘difficulty finding training providers’
- Almost 50% of people under 24 ‘don’t feel prepared for the job or course they want’

The aims of the Portal
The North Wales Skill Portal aims to be an online gateway that simplifies skills, employment, and business growth opportunities in the region, connecting the dots between individuals, employers, and training and support providers.

The North Wales RSP is one of four partnerships across Wales, bringing together employers, skills providers and key local stakeholders to better understand employer skills needs at a local and regional level.
As part of Ambition North Wales’ structure, the North Wales Regional Skills Partnership team works seamlessly across Growth Deal projects to scope and understand their skills requirements.
