Apprenticeships allow you to earn while you learn, and boost your lifetime earnings.

What are apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships in Wales are open to anyone over the age of 16, or 18 for Degree Apprenticeships, and combine practical training in a job with study.

As an apprentice you’ll:

  • Earn a wage and receive holiday pay
  • Gain a nationally recognised qualification
  • Develop job specific skills
  • Gain hands on experience
  • Work alongside experienced staff

What to expect

A full package of support, whatever your needs, including:

  • Time to study, usually one day per week.
  • Learn in Welsh or English, apprenticeships are available bilingually.
  • Apprenticeships are accessible, with support available for individuals with learning difficulties or disabilities.

Level 2 | Equivalent to 5 GCSEs

Available in Agriculture & Environment, Business Administration, Digital Technology, Food & Drink, Hair & Beauty, Health & Social Care, Waste Management & Recycling, and Retail & Hospitality.
