Grŵp Llandrillo Menai learners in WorldSkills UK finals
Sixteen Grŵp Llandrillo Menai learners have been selected for the national finals of the 2025 WorldSkills UK and SkillBuild competitions.
Students from Coleg Menai and Coleg Llandrillo, along with Busnes@LlandrilloMenai apprentices, will compete in the WorldSkills UK finals at venues across South Wales from November 25-28.
Before that, Coleg Menai student Luke Quarless will put his plastering skills to the test in the SkillBuild National Final in Milton Keynes (November 19 and 20).

The WorldSkills UK finals will see more than 400 competitors battle it out in 47 different skills, in a nationwide celebration of world-class vocational and technical training.
WorldSkills UK CEO Ben Blackledge said: “Our competitions test learners’ skills against global industry standards, providing a powerful platform to showcase their talents. Over two intensive days of competition they will gain valuable skills and confidence which will turbo-charge their careers and make the UK economy more competitive.”
With employers all over the UK crying out for high-quality skills this is a fantastic opportunity for hundreds of learners to show they are ready for work. I can’t wait to see the finalists in action.
In the SkillBuild National Final, 80 competitors from across the UK will take part in the UK’s largest multi-trade competition for construction apprentices and trainees.
